Preparing future leaders through diplomacy, collaboration, and global understanding.
Our story
McLean High School Model United Nations is a student and teacher-led school club dedicated to exploring international affairs and developing the next generation of leaders. Through research, debate, and collaboration, our members gain a deeper understanding of the world’s most pressing challenges while building valuable skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and negotiation.
What begins as an interest in global issues often grows into a passion for leadership and service. Whether attending a first conference or serving as an experienced delegate, every member has the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow. Our commitment to preparation, professionalism, and teamwork shapes everything we do.
Members of our club go on to prestigious universities across the United States, including Stanford University, Yale University, The University of Pennsylvania, UC Berkeley, The University of Virginia, UT Austin, and more.
Driven by passion
We are more than a debate club—we are a community of students passionate about making a difference. Through Model UN conferences, committee simulations, and weekly meetings, members challenge themselves to think critically, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively to solve complex problems.
Every conference is an opportunity to learn something new, strengthen leadership skills, and engage with perspectives from around the world. We strive to create an environment where curiosity, diplomacy, and intellectual growth thrive.
“McLean MUN helped me become a more confident speaker, stronger leader, and more informed global citizen.”
